As reported by the American press, the club from California is ready to dismiss the Spanish basketball player. Recall that Gasol still has a one-year contract worth $2.7 million.
The Lakers are expected to sign Deandre Jordan to the front line. As such, Gasol will have no place left on the club.
Gasol has played in the NBA since 2008. During that time he played for Memphis, Toronto and the Lakers. In the 2020/21 season, he played 52 games, averaging 5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
